Some of you might be wondering to yourselves: “am I really growing in my spiritual life?”
Hmm…
Well what you need to always remember is that you are as close in your walk with Jesus, to the degree you are close to the Word!
How do you value the Word of God? How much do you at least try to study the Bible?
In this fast moving world, we wake up and zoom — we are out to work!
The Psalmist said: “thy WORD have I HID in my heart…” (Psalm 119:11)
At a point he yelled: “oh how I love thy law”! (Psalm 119:97)
It is a joke to expect to grow when you don’t value the Word!
Your passion determines your experience.
You can’t passionately follow Big Brother Naija…and not start showing traits of what you watched soon.
You can’t passionately dip yourself in the Word and not come up with the traits of the Gospel!
That habit you are trying to break will remain until you decide to chase it out …by your doggedness to the word!
Please note that many habits don’t break by determination to stop.
They break by conscious steps to replace them!
Habits are broken by habits.
Good habits are broken by unconsciously developing bad habits…and vice versa!
Hey…wake up!
Be a responsible believer!
Determine to nurture a habit to dip yourself in the WORD daily!
Personally (and I’m grateful for this), I doubt if I’m not in the Word for minimum 2hours in a day!
It didn’t start that way, it was developed over years. (Yet I’m not there yet…but I know I’m progressing)!

Habits are like spaceships. It takes a lot of energy to launch them, but once they’re in orbit their momentum becomes natural.
Don’t be discouraged. Work on a new habit today.
Remember you are as close in your walk with Jesus to the degree you are close to the Word!
Your exposure to the Written Word often determines the manifestation of the Living Word (Jesus) in your life.
Stay connected to God.
Amen.
