Jesus: Our Trespass Offering!

When Jesus was on the Cross, brutally injured and maltreated, He said….

‘…FATHER, forgive them; for THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO’! (Luke 23:34)

Hmm…. What a PRAYER! Why would Jesus say such a prayer on behalf of people who ‘knowingly drove nails through His Hands and Feet’? Hmm…

Now listen carefully: this prayer was made so that we will see how COMPLETELY Jesus performed His mission as a Saviour on behalf of everyone including those hurting Him!

Jesus was actually fulfilling a TYPE of the offerings of the Old Testament called the TRESPASS OFFERING!

‘If a soul commit a Trespass, and SIN THROUGH IGNORANCE….;then shall he bring for His TRESPASS unto the Lord….A RAM WITHOUT BLEMISH……and the priest shall make ATONEMENT for him with THE RAM of the TRESPASS OFFERING,….and IT SHALL BE FORGIVEN HIM’! (Lev 5:15-16)

Wow! What a Gracious Jesus!!! What a Gracious Saviour!!! He made sure there was NO CATEGORY of sin He did not pay for with His Blood….INCLUDING the sins you commit KNOWINGLY or UNKNOWINGLY!!! They nailed Him….yet he presented them to God under the TRESPASS OFFERING! Hallelujah!

Are you feeling condemned for your past sins? Sins you committed ‘knowingly’ but now you feel you were not in the right frame of mind committing such sins? I got an ANSWER for you! Jesus also died for that SIN! Take cover in the TRESPASS OFFERING which Jesus Gracious provided Himself as the RAM WITHOUT BLEMISH….and RECEIVE your FORGIVENESS Graciously!!! STOP CONDEMNING YOURSELF!

JESUS HAS BEEN CONDEMNED IN YOUR PLACE! RECEIVE the forgiveness which has already been PAID FOR you!!! Hallelujah!

I love the clause that ended the verse concerning the Trespass Offering….:

‘…and IT SHALL BE FORGIVEN HIM’! (Lev 5:16)

Glory be to Jesus! What an ASSURANCE! Hmm…

Listen: Jesus has already offered Himself for you…and guess what? THOSE SINS ARE ALREADY FORGIVEN YOU!!! Hallelujah!
