Scared of a Curse?

Imagine you came in contact with an old woman in your village…who after you greeted her and had a short pleasantry conversation with…said to you: ‘…God bless you…’

How would you react? Let me guess: ‘…thank you ma…Amen…God bless you too…’ and you go your way!

But… If you met a village old woman who after exchanging pleasantries…said: ‘…it won’t be well with you…’

How would you react??? Let me guess! You will start looking for a pastor/prophet/apostle/bishop etc… who will break the curse!

If you feel sick after that time….it is definitely that old woman’s curse in action! At least 4 Anointing oil bottles will be in your possession: one in your bag… one in your cupboard… one in your parlour… one in your office…etc…What about fasting? 10 days, 14days, 21days, 40days, 50 days…even 70days…(thanks to this old woman)

Church meetings? Deliverance sessions, anointing services, yoke breaking services, devil leave me services, power must change services… Even if a man of God tells you,…you are free from the curse…and you are experiencing a form of delay in an aspect of life…you will still remember the old woman who has caused all these…!!!

Why do people find it easy to believe a CURSE …but find it very difficult to believe a BLESSING! Hear this: curses and blessings work with your belief system! This is why you must be addicted to the Gospel that helps you believe right! Haven’t you read:

‘…Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I CANNOT reverse it…’ (Num. 23:20)

Who is the Old woman that can CURSE you when God has BLESSED you in CHRIST Jesus?

‘…Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies…Who is he who CONDEMNS? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes INTERCESSION for us.’ (Romans 8:33-34)

How I wish believers will understand that curses NO LONGER have power on them!

‘…Christ has redeemed us from the CURSE of the law, HAVING BECOME A CURSE FOR US for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”, that the BLESSINGS of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith…’ (Gal 3:13-14)

You are not a candidate for Curses! Even if someone throws a curse at you…that curse needs your permission to have effect! If you start running helter skelter… you are invariably saying the curse has a right to oppress you!

See: once you are a believer, you come under a platform where BLESSINGS ARE MORE POWERFUL THAN CURSES!

Under Law: curses are more powerful than blessings! That is why in Deut. 28, the first 13 verses are for blessings while the next 54 verses are for curses!

But under Grace: ‘…Christ has redeemed us from the CURSE of the law, HAVING BECOME A CURSE FOR US for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”, that the BLESSINGS of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith…’ (Gal 3:13-14)

Hello…Christ did NOT redeem you from the BLESSINGS! You still have full ACCESS to the BLESSINGS! But Christ redeemed you from the CURSES!!! Do you believe this?

Under Law: it was easy for Elijah to CURSE the land simply by saying: “ As the LORD God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.” (1Kings 17:1)

How easy it was to CURSE under Law! But when Elijah was to BLESS the land…it was not as easy as before!

‘…And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees…’ (1kings 18:42)

How uneasy it was to BLESS under Law! But under Grace: the Bible says…

‘…No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And EVERY TONGUE which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And THEIR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS FROM ME,” Says the LORD.’ (Isa 54:17)

The reason why you can CONDEMN every ‘curseful’ tongue against you is that…you are NOT operating your own righteousness but because you are the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST!

Now listen: even if you made a mistake or committed a sin and now you feel you are under a curse… Well, as a true believer in Jesus (who doesn’t see Grace as a license to sin but a way out of sin)…simply remember and declare:

‘…There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus…’ (Romans 8:1)

And rebuke the curse from having effect on you! AND IT WON’T HAVE ANY EFFECT ON YOU! That is your heritage in Christ! So when next someone attempts to curse you, REBUKE the curse in the name of Jesus… And also be Gracious enough to warn the person not to ever try to repeat it again else it will follow him or her in SEVEN FOLDS!

‘…“The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you SEVEN WAYS’ (Deut. 28:7)

That is your heritage in Christ Jesus!

‘…What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?’ (Romans 8:32)

Not even the village old woman can be against you! Remain under Grace.
