Stay Connected

Have you ever had the frustrating experience of charging your phone only to realize hours later when you go to pick it up that you forgot to plug it in? Oh yes! We’ve all done that…really frustrating I believe. Such wasted time and you still got no power…can indeed be maddening.

I think in a similar way, if you are not experiencing the power of God in your life, you need to CHECK YOUR CONNECTIONS! You might be plugged in to the wrong energy source! You might be trying to do what God wants to do for you …through the power of something else or someone else! You might have been so self sufficient, that you have neglected God as your sufficiency.

“…Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God…” (2Cor 3:5)

You probably have shifted your focus out of Jesus, and now dependent on what man can do for you.

“…It is vain to trust in a horse for deliverance, even with its great strength, it cannot deliver…” (Psalm 33:17)

“…Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God…” (Psalm 20:7)

Now listen carefully: God’s power and energy radiates through His Word! If you feel overwhelmed with life and the troubles it seems to bring…that’s the time to immerse yourself with SCRIPTURES!

“…and when my heart is overwhelmed, You lead me to the Rock that is HIGHER than I…” (Psalm 61:2)

That Rock that is HIGHER than you and your problems is Jesus. And you are led to this Rock by His Word. Spend time with God in His word and prayer and let HIS power lift you and sustain you.

“I cried unto the Lord with my voice and He heard me out of His holy hills” (Psalm 3:4)

Oh please get this: the way that you download the power of God is through HIS SON Jesus Christ!

“For as many as received Him, to them He gave POWER to become the sons of God, even unto them that believes in His name” (John 1:12)

But the way you INSTALL the power of God is by valuing His Word!

“He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from all their destruction”. (Psalm 107:20)

At salvation, God’s Power is RESIDENT in your life.

“…For the WORD of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us which are saved it is the POWER of God…” (1cor 1:18)

While with diligence in His Written word, God’s power is PRESIDENT over your life!

“…For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you RECEIVED THE WORD of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the WORD of God, WHICH ALSO EFFECTIVELY WORKS IN YOU who believe…” (1thess 2:13)

To live a powerful life…requires that you are “plugged” into the WORD. Decide to make this new week that week you made a u-turn and begin to Value the Word. The Word of His Grace.

And I promise you by the authority of Scriptures, that you will never runout of the manifestation of the power of God in your life.

“I commend you unto God and to the Word of His Grace…WHICH IS ABLE TO BUILD YOU UP and give you an inheritance among them that are sanctified”. (Acts 20:32)
