Where Sin Abounds…

In mathematics, there are 2 kinds of progressions…

1) Arithmetic progression

2) Geometric progression

2, 4, 6, 8,10,…(arithmetic progression)

But…

2, 4, 8, 16, 32,…(geometric progression)

What have you noticed? No matter how much an ‘arithmetic progression’ is…the ‘geometric progression’ will always super-abound over it…

So why all this mathematical education? Just to help you understand Romans 5:20

‘… where sin abounded, grace did MUCH MORE abound…’ (Romans 5:20)

Oh, I love how the NET bible version puts it…

‘… where sin increased, grace MULTIPLIED all the more…’ (Romans 5:20 NET)

So you can simply rewrite….

…where sin ARITHMETICALLY abounds… Grace GEOMETRICALLY abounds…

Wow! If you can understand all I just wrote above, then you will have no problem understanding why a believer in Jesus can never be condemned before God ANYMORE!

Never forget this: you can NEVER ‘out-sin’ the Grace of God in your life! To every action of sin a believer commits, there is a ‘multiplied’ effect of Grace to cater for the situation! This ‘catering’ also has a full potential to deal with the force behind the sinful habit by a deep revelation of the Father’s love.

Sin CANNOT stop God’s Grace in the life of a believer! Rather, it is GRACE that stops sin in the life of a believer!

Where sin abounds…Grace Super abounds…and where super abounding Grace is allowed…the power to ‘sin no more’ over abounds! (Rom6:14, John8:11)

Though this truth might disturb the knowledge from your theological background… You can do nothing against the Truth…but for the Truth! So when the devil brings the guilt of your pasts wrongs to torment you… Remember…

…where sin ARITHMETICALLY abounds… Grace GEOMETRICALLY abounds…

Because of Jesus finished work for you, God will never hold your sins against you! Accept the ‘geometrical’ love of your Abba Father! And be empowered to go and sin no more.
