Breastplate Of Righteousness

The Bible says: ‘put on the WHOLE AMOUR of God…that ye may be able to stand against the WILES of the devil’! (Eph 6:11)

One of the amours which believers are told to put on is called the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS! (Vs 13).  Hmm…do you know what this breastplate is meant for?

Now listen carefully: the devil is known as the ACCUSER of the brethren! (Rev 12:10). He points accusing fingers at you in order for you to feel guilty and unqualified before God!

Hmm… The Bible did not say you should put on the whole amour in order to overcome the POWERS of the devil! NO! The devil has been made POWERLESS by the finished work of Jesus Christ!

‘… ALL POWER is given unto ME (Jesus) in Heaven and on earth’! (Matt 28:18)

We are to put on the whole amour of God in order to stand against the WILES of the devil! Since the devil has no more power to strike a believer, he uses WILES (which means DECEIT) to frustrate believers! He accuses them for not being able to keep the Law perfectly! He points to your heart and imputes CONDEMNATION into your heart so that you will not be able to come BOLDLY to the Throne of GRACE! (Hebrews 4:16)

Once the devil can stop you from being BOLD to approach the Throne of Grace, he will introduce fear into you which will not make you to see HOW MUCH JESUS LOVES YOU in any challenge you might be going through! The devil will make you begin to think God is behind the problems of your life!  Hmm…

Now listen carefully: Once the devil can get you afraid as a result of a WRONG perspective about God’s love for you, that is the very moment he gets the permission to TORMENT you!!! No wonder the Bible says:

‘…FEAR HAS TORMENTS…’! (1john 4:18)

Can you now see how the WILES of the devil operates! Hmm… That was why you were provided with the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS! During wars, fighters put on ‘breast plates’ to prevent arrows from penetrating into their HEARTS! In the same manner, the Breast Plate of RIGHTEOUSNESS is a weapon of GRACE given to believers to protect your heart from the arrows of guilt and condemnation which the devil throws at you! When the devil whispers fear and condemnation into your heart, be fast to reply by saying words like:

‘I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS’! (2cor 5:21)

‘I AM THE DISCIPLE WHOM JESUS LOVES’! (Jer 31:3)

‘JESUS HAS TAKEN MY JUDGMENT ALREADY; THEREFORE I CAN NEVER BE PUT TO SHAME’! (Isaiah 50:8-9)

Wow! The devil will disappear from your atmosphere IMMEDIATELY! Nothing pursues the devil away from you like your solid knowledge of How much Jesus loves you unconditionally! Hallelujah!

Guess what will happen once the devil leaves you? Hmm…

‘Then the devil leaveth Him, and behold ANGELS came and MINISTERED unto Him’! (Matt 4:11)

Wow! The Breast plate of Righteousness REPELS the devil ….and ATTRACTS angelic Favour unto you! Hallelujah!

Now hear this: the breast plate of Righteousness does not refer to your ability to fulfil the Law! It does not refer to your own righteousness! The breast plate of Righteousness is a GIFT of GRACE!!!

You don’t work for it! You simply put it on! Hmm… It simply refers to the Righteousness of God which is Graciously provided for you by the finished work of Jesus on the Cross! (Phil 3:9).

I therefore decree: Henceforth, your life will constantly REPEL evil… and ATTRACT angelic favour! In Jesus Gracious Name.

Remember, the Breast plate of Righteousness of Righteousness prevents the Condemnation of the devil from robbing you!!! Never allow the enemy rob you of this Gracious gift Jesus provided for you called the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!
